Way back on Halloween we spent the day with Brandon and Jessica, yet another one of our awesome  Linczak couples! We met these guys for the first time back at a bridal show a few years ago when they were actually working in a booth next to us. We’re stoked they remembered us when it came time to plan their wedding, and we were honored to be a part of it! It was nice getting to travel down to Akron for once, and we made use of some locations that were brand new to us. We also had the privilege of working with some awesome vendors: Heidi from Heidzillas, who kept the day running smoothly, and Gary from Jerry Bruno Productions, who kept the party going well into the night. Check out a few previews from the day…

Just barely hanging on to a few leaves back in early November, we met up with Nancy and Kevin - a super sweet couple we had met at James and Steph’s wedding back in May.  I remember seeing them together and thinking they were adorable together back then, and now here we are shooting their wedding in April!  They are extremely laid back and nice, and it’s pretty much impossible not to like them.  They also have one of the sweetest proposal stories ever that took place in the most magical place in the world: Disney World.  For that reason, much of their wedding has a Disney or fairytale theme.  We can’t wait to be a part of it!  In the meantime, enjoy some of their engagement images:

Way back in the day, October to be exact, we had the opportunity to head out to Peninsula and spend some time with Adam and Randi, who will be tying the knot this coming May. These guys really had some of the best colors as a backdrop for their session, and we were sure to make the best out of them. Looking back at some of these images really makes me long for some color and sun to return back to Northeast Ohio, we’re tired of all this snow! Adam and Randi are actually our first couple to get married this May, and if their engagement session is any indication, its going to be an awesome day! We captured some of my favorite engagement images all season during their session, check out some previews…

The day after Melanie and Sam’s wedding, we spent the day with Abby & David.  Even though we had only met these 2 only once before the wedding, we hit it off right away.  It might have had something to do with their incredibly laid back personalities, our shared obsession with Dave Matthews, or the fact that they had one of our absolute FAVORITE wedding planners of all time Valarie from Kirkbrides planning the wedding.  Whatever the reason, it seemed like the entire day was scheduled around having awesome photography!  This was our first wedding at The Union Club downtown, and the setting was fabulous!  There wasn’t one thing that disappointed throughout the entire day!

As you all well know by now, Ted and I are HUGE fans of couples doing a “First Glance”.  It makes for such an emotional sequence of images that you can never replace! 

We also get the chance to walk around and get some really cool stuff before the wedding even starts!

One of the best parts of the day were the amazing details at the reception.  When I say amazing, I’m not kidding.  They were amazing.

The toasts were funny, sweet, and one even quoted Dave Matthews!

This is the part where I pretend like I’ve been updating the blog all along, and you guys all just go along with it even though you know I’ve been horrible….:)

Back in October, we spent the day with Melanie and Sam one of the only couples we hadn’t met together at all before the wedding.  Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, these two just had a great attitude and had a wonderful wedding day anyway.  I love a couple who decide their own wedding!  Even with the rain, there was still some amazing color involved all the way through - the trees surrounding the church were brilliant and Melanie’s dad surprised everyone at the reception with a huge display of fireworks!  I’d say that was plenty enough color to make up for the dreary weather!

Even while the rain was still coming down, Melanie and Sam were game for using some of that amazing color outside that I was talking abut earlier.  Even when the light is grey, color like this can brighten anyone up!
