Scheduling your Session!

This is the time of year for engagement and portrait sessions - cooler temperatures and changing leaves are on their way! We are big fans of fall in general, and it’s always an amazing time to shoot! In the past couple of years, we have found it difficult to schedule all of the sessions for couples who wanted fall engagement photos. To ward off any crazy scheduling this year, we have decided to post our availability for sessions and let you guys pick your date from there. We’re going to schedule sessions on a first come, first serve basis and deal with rescheduling for weather as needed. Dates are going fast, so if you’re looking to schedule your session in the fall, email as soon as possible!

Below are the dates that we are available to schedule a session (updated 9/9/2010):

October: 6, 20, 28

November: 1, 2, 8, 10, 11, 12

Sarah & Michael’s Wedding!

Sarah and Michael got married on another beautiful day this past June out in the Aurora and Twinsburg Areas. Rachel and I are always interested in seeing how couples are in front of the camera, especially when they didn’t get the opportunity to have an engagement session with us. This was the case with Sarah and Michael, and I have to say, these guys really did amazing in front of the lens for the first time! Their love for each other was on display the entire day, and they had such a great group as part of their bridal party. Thanks again for having us be part of your gorgeous day you guys, we can’t wait to see your finished album!

Sarah and Michael opted to do a First Glance, which not only leaves a ton of time for photography and allows you to enjoy your cocktail hour, it also provides for a beautiful sequence of images…

Bubble time!

Family formals are a big part of any wedding, and documenting family being all together for such an occasion is something not to be missed. Rachel and I prefer taking these outdoors rather than inside the church, which gives us beautiful light to work with, and lets everyone be way more relaxed and at ease. It allows us to create a more intimate family portrait, and allows for more interaction in between shots to capture what the relationships are all about!

The reception was held at the always beautiful Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg…

Liz and Mike’s Wedding!

It’s been really awesome working with Liz and Mike the past year and a half, and seeing as that they were one of the very first weddings we booked for 2010, it was amazing to see the day finally arrive! For a late May wedding, the weather was absolutely amazing, and we were fighting the sun, rather than the rain for a change, for the entire day! : ) The one thing you have to know about these two is that they are the most laid back and sweet couple you could ever work with. At the end of their reception, Liz even mentioned how they are sure to treat everyone the way they would want to be treated, and even though this is something you hear a lot these days, they seriously live it out! Congrats you guys, we had a great time with you! Enjoy a few previews…

Kent and Melissa’s Aurora Wedding

Kent and Melissa tied the knot on a seriously BEAUTIFUL warm day this past May, it honestly felt like we were right smack dab in the middle of July! It was great getting to head out to Aurora for the first time this year, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity! Nick & Kelli’s Downtown Cleveland Engagement Session

Way back when we ventured to downtown C-Town to shoot some cool photographs of Nick and Kelli, simply because that’s how we roll. Nick and Kelli share our love for urban backgrounds, and most importantly our extreme love for East Coast Frozen Custard! Seriously, I’ll admit that just this week alone I had two East Coast Style Banana Splits, man they are good! Thanks for a great session guys, and also for dodging traffic in the name of great photos!

Keith and Shannan’s Engagement, Round Two!

Some of you guys might remember that our first attempt to shoot Keith and Shannan’s engagement resulted in some rain moving in at the last minute, but being that Keith is stationed out in Alaska and had been in town for a short time, we decided to do a short session despite the rain drops and continue the session later in the Spring. Well, we had some gorgeous weather this time around, and despite getting kicked off what we thought to be an abandoned property (it wasn’t abandoned, we learned this about 10 minutes in, haha), we had an awesome session. We can’t wait for their wedding this October!

I really love these wildflowers!

The supposed “abandoned” place… The guy who kicked us out was supposedly the neighbor who was watching the property for the owner. It was pretty funny, he looked over at our huge reflector we had brought and told us to “put that back in the barn”. Yeah……….

We really love this area for shooting, and its amazing how high the grass gets deeper and deeper into the summer ( I realize this sounds like an obvious statement, but still)!

The Cleveland Wedding Season Rolls On!

Well, here we are yet again trying to catch up to the craziness that is wedding season, which in most cases results in the blog being a tad bit slow! For those that “Like” us on facebook, we’ve been regularly posting previews from our recent weddings and sessions (if you haven’t checked us out on Facebook yet, click here!) It’s been a crazy few months for us to say the least, and in addition to a ton of portrait sessions, our weddings have seen us travel to southeast Pennsylvania, Cincinnati, as well the Canton and Akron areas a handful of times. I thought I’d post an image from each wedding we’ve done the past few months just to keep the blog readers happy! Check back for the full wedding posts to each of these weddings, as well as a ton of sessions in the next month (I promise!!!)!

Emily & Josh’s Windows on The River Wedding!

Where do I start with this wedding? Maybe something like, “Josh may, quite possibly, be the luckiest man on the planet”? Or, “Emily is one of the reasons I do what I do”? No matter what I say about it, words kind of pale in comparison to Emily and Josh - Emily’s spunky personality, Josh’s willingness to do anything for anyone, and their obvious love for each other can’t really be described very well. You just have to meet them! As for the day, the weather was crazy - raining one second, and sun glaring the next, but honestly we didn’t mind one bit. Not only did we have pretty much the perfect couple, but they also had an amazing bridal party and family, they did a First Glance, and happened to be at Windows on the River - one of our favorite places! We also got to work with the one and only JR from Selective Sound! It was one of those days that we come home from and say “That’s why I love weddings!”

Kyle & Samantha’s Canton Wedding!

We don’t get the chance to go out to Canton much - we’re usually spending all of our time downtown Cleveland! So we were excited to use a bunch of new (and fresh) spots we found while out scouting the week before! We knew this day was going to be a good one - not only are Kyle and Samantha beautiful, but they are probably one of the nicest couples we’ve ever worked with! The weather turned out to be kind of gross - cold, rainy, and windy, but it didn’t even matter to them! Not only did they brave the elements and do everything we asked of them, they also went out of their way to make sure that we knew how much they appreciated us! <3!!! Also, we got to work with Brian and Susy Morris from 2nd Mile Productions (you can check out their same day edit from Samantha and Kyle’s wedding here)! I KNOW it’s going to be a good day when we work with them! :) Thanks for a wonderful day guys! Despite the wind, cold, and off and on rain, we are so pleased with the results!
