Valarie of Kirkbrides!

Awhile back, we got to work with one of our favorite vendors of all time: Valarie Kirkbride of Kirkbrides Wedding Planning & Design!  Any bride, whether you feel like you need a planner or not, should at least call Valarie!  She is a breath of fresh air and an abolute professional at what she does.  Everytime we have worked with her, not only do we see the bride, groom and families benefit from her expertise, but all of the vendors do as well!  She has a way of making the entire day happen exactly as planned, and she makes it look easy!  We can’t say enough about how much we love her, the job she does, and her personality!  On top of all this, she is abolutely beautiful and made a perfect model for some creative and out-of-the-box head shots!   Check them out and don’t forget to check out her website and give her a call!  :)

One of her best feature in my opinion, is her amazing hair!  It has such much volume!

Michelle’s Portrait Session…

A couple of days after Emily and Chris’s wedding, we got a call from Michelle -a friend of Emily’s mother who had been a guest at the wedding and fallen in love with our work.  Michelle happens to be a conductor of an up and coming choral group in New York called “One”.  Since her website would be up soon, Michelle wanted some out of the box head shots to show her outgoing and energetic personality.  I could already tell we were going to hit it off with her when she gave me some of her ideas - out in the forest with sheet music spread out all around her - dynamite!  While we were expecting a fun session, we were NOT expecting Michelle!  This is one tough lady!  No matter where we wanted to grab a shot, she was willing to climb, crawl, or pull herself there - in dress clothes and heels no less!!!  Not only is she amazingly beautiful, but she is not afraid of getting dirty, wet, or muddy - the complete package!  Check her out:

For those of you that may be wondering - this is freakishly early morning light.  Even though neither Michelle, Ted, or I are morning people, we decided to do a morning session because of the threat of rain later in the afternoon.  I think I like it though!

Love this - light, foreground leaves, and expression…

We pulled the sheet music out for a couple:

Michelle is one of those people that others are just drawn to…

I positively ADORE this shot:

She’s pretty much gorgeous from every angle!

The best part of the session was the last spot in the river!  Michelle had already mentioned she wanted to do some in the water, but little did any of us know how hot it was going to get by that time!  By the end of the session, we were DYING to get in this water!

This look of joy is real!

Who wouldn’t have a blast taking pictures of Michelle???

Contest Winners!!!

Congratulations to the winners of Linczak Photography’s first ever free wedding photography giveaway!  Yes, you read that right. “winners”.  We were so surprised and pleased to see how many entries came in and the narrowing down part was the toughest part of the job.  In the end, we couldn’t decide between 2 couples, so we decided that we couldn’t decide and went with both!  :)

Sarah & Andy W:  These two had the most amazing story that literally brought tears to our eyes when we read it.

Stephanie & John R: Both Stephanie and John have given their lives to the service of this country, and their commitment really spoke to us.

We will be posting more in the days to come so stay close!  Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that entered.  We were so pleased and humbled by the extremely large amount of entries we received.  This was a great experience for us and we can’t wait to be able to give a small fraction of what we have been given to these couples.  Thanks again!  :)

Paul & Holly!

The Monday before last we met up with another great photographer Paul Floyd and his wife Holly.  We know from experience, that it’s way too easy to forget about photos of yourself when you’re behind the camera all the time!  I’m so glad these two made the time to get some of themselves!  We always give our couples lots of direction to look their best in front of the camera, but we barely had our cameras turned on before these two started busting out the poses!  I don’t know if it’s all the experience behind the camera or if Paul and Holly were just born this cool, but the whole session was basically just following them around taking their picture!  Check their hot selves out:

Isn’t Holly’s hair just gorgeous?  I may be biased since I am a blonde too, but still…

The whole day went sorta like this, “Okay guys, lets get you over there…oh wait - forget it - what you’re doing is perfect!”  Here is Holly checking out her hot hubby!

Paul and Holly are mostly “cool”, but we grabbed some sweet stuff too!

Wade Lagoon was a special request from Paul, and I think it turned out pretty awesome!

Pretty close to professional models!!!

We had so much fun guys and didn’t even feel like we worked!

Michelle’s Senior Session

One blog post at a time, we’re getting closer and closer to being current!  I have to introduce you guys to Michelle.  What a time we had with her!  This girl is all personality and spunk.  I don’t think there is ever a dull moment in the world of Michelle!  We sure didn’t have a dull moment shooting her!  Michelle is interested in photography and fashion and is looking forward to making a major and then a career out of both of these things in the near future.  I don’t think she’ll have any problem.  Check her out!

We tried to do a serious look with her too, but apparently, Michelle doesn’t have a serious face!

The pose off!

Michelle worked those locations over like she was born in front of the camera.

From what I hear from her mom Chris (whose wedding we will be shooting in December), Michelle did pretty much grow up posing for the camera!  Not hard to believe!  Check out her hot tamale look:

Yellow is Michelle’s favorite color - I think it’s because it is such a happy color.  Either way, we had to make a stop at our favorite yellow wall…

My favorite of Ted’s.  I guess she does have a little serious face!

We made a mad dash to an organic feel before we lost all our light and I think it was worth it.  Michelle originally wanted a field of sunflowers, but since there seems to be a shortage of sunflower fields in the area, we settled for a field of goldenrod.

Thanks so much Michelle and to Chris for carting us around!  We had SUCH a great time with you and we got some of the best stuff ever!
