Back on the last Sunday of November we met up with the Evans family do to some family portraits out near Lakewood. We had some great weather again, and we can’t say enough how awesome and laid back everybody was! It was a pleasure working with you guys! Here are a few previews from the session…

Last month we had the chance to meet up with the Hooke family in Hinckley for some family portraits. Lydia is actually my brother-in-law’s sister, and we were glad to finally schedule in their session before the end of summer. We had an absolutely beautiful afternoon, and we were able to take advantage of some beautiful late afternoon light! All the kids had a great time hamming it up for the camera, and we ended up capturing some really great images. Check out a few previews:

Some of you may remember Chris and Michelle’s maternity session from a few months back, and now we’re thrilled to show off the newest member of their family, little baby Eliot! I think Eliot had a blast during his first ever photoshoot, and with the full head of hair he’s currently sporting, he definitely has nothing to cry about! Congratulations again Chris and Michelle, you guys are going to be amazing parents! Here are a few previews from the session…

A lot of our portrait clients start out as guests our attendants at past weddings we’ve shot, and such was the case with the Powalie family. We met Stephanie and Al back at Jason and Molly’s wedding last June, and at the time baby Olivia was still nice and comfy inside of her mommy’s tummy! Shooting in studio always provides a nice change of pace for us, and these guys we’re great to work with. I think Olivia was definitely into the pictures as well! Enjoy some previews…

With wedding season still a few months away, Rachel and I have been busy shooting a ton of different sessions these past few weeks. We shot Chris and Michelle’s wedding back in October of 2007, and we were thrilled to hear the good news of a little baby boy on the way! These two were a lot of fun to work with for their engagement and wedding images, and we knew that this session would be no different. We always enjoy changing pace shooting different kinds of sessions, and we love getting to use our home as a studio! Its great using the ordinary to create some great images. Here are some previews…

We always love getting to photograph baby Ava, and this one was too cute to not post ASAP! We’ll be sure to post some more from this session in the next couple of weeks, but I figured this one was the perfect segue into the Christmas Holiday!
A few weeks ago we headed out to Valley View to photograph the Troshin family. We’ve photographed for Misha’s company AVA Direct in the past, so it was nice to be able to switch gears and spend some time with the entire family. Baby Mia wasn’t super thrilled about getting her picture taken, but we managed to grab a few smiles here and there, and think she opened up to us a little more towards the end of the session. The Monday before last we met up with another great photographer Paul Floyd and his wife Holly. We know from experience, that it’s way too easy to forget about photos of yourself when you’re behind the camera all the time! I’m so glad these two made the time to get some of themselves! We always give our couples lots of direction to look their best in front of the camera, but we barely had our cameras turned on before these two started busting out the poses! I don’t know if it’s all the experience behind the camera or if Paul and Holly were just born this cool, but the whole session was basically just following them around taking their picture! Check their hot selves out:

One of the best parts of what we do is being able to examine all kinds of awesome relationships week in and week out. While we are pretty accustomed to seeing the beginning of new marriages every weekend, its great when we get to see couples who are still crazy about each other many years after they said “I do”! Brittany and Jason, whose wedding we will be shooting at the end of September, thought it would be a great idea to surprise Brittany’s parents with a portrait session on their 25th wedding anniversary last Wednesday, so Rachel and I headed out to Catawba Island, right near where Brittany and Jason’s wedding will be, to surprise these lovebirds! We really got some really nice light to work with, and Joyce and Mark were as natural as can be! We could really tell these two love each other more than ever after 25 years of marriage, and we had a great time walking the beach and spending a few hours with them. Thanks again guys for a great session, and we wish you nothing but the best in the next 25 years to come! See you in September!!!
This past Monday we headed out to Hinckley Reservation to capture some images of the Easa Family. Angie was actually a bridesmaid in Amy and Rocky’s wedding back on 6-7-08, and her and Mitch even made the blog post with their photobooth picture! This time we got to meet Beans (he’s the one with black fur and his tongue hanging out) as well as their little guy Coen (sorry Angie if the spelling is off!). Despite some bright sun that afternoon, we were able to find some nice light tucked away in a few spots, and got some sweet images of this good looking bunch! Thanks so much guys for allowing us to capture your beautiful family, we can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images!
