Way back when we ventured to downtown C-Town to shoot some cool photographs of Nick and Kelli, simply because that’s how we roll. Nick and Kelli share our love for urban backgrounds, and most importantly our extreme love for East Coast Frozen Custard! Seriously, I’ll admit that just this week alone I had two East Coast Style Banana Splits, man they are good! Thanks for a great session guys, and also for dodging traffic in the name of great photos!

Some of you guys might remember that our first attempt to shoot Keith and Shannan’s engagement resulted in some rain moving  in at the last minute, but being that Keith is stationed out in Alaska and had been in town for a short time, we decided to do a short session despite the rain drops and continue the session later in the  Spring. Well, we had some gorgeous weather this time around, and despite getting kicked off what we thought to be an abandoned property (it wasn’t abandoned, we learned this about 10 minutes in, haha), we had an awesome session. We can’t wait for their wedding this October!

The supposed “abandoned” place… The guy who kicked us out was supposedly the neighbor who was watching the property for the owner. It was pretty funny, he looked over at our huge reflector we had brought and told us to “put that back in the barn”. Yeah……….

We really love this area for shooting, and its amazing how high the grass gets deeper and deeper into the summer ( I realize this sounds like an obvious statement, but still)!

This is a great time to post some images from Myles and Sarah’s engagement session, seeing as that their wedding is coming up towards the end of this month! We had another absolutely gorgeous late afternoon to work with, and Myles and Sarah were excited to fially get in front of the camera. Myles even brought along his new Canon 7D, which I of course couldn’t resist using for a handful of images. We are really excited to continue with you guys in a few weeks, see you on the 25th!

Back in April, we got the chance to head downtown with Michael and Renee to shoot their engagement session at some cool spots near the flats. These guys were really excited about trying out some grungy and unique spots around the city, and we were equally as excited to shot their gorgeous selves! We’re looking forward to their wedding coming up this September, it’ll be here quick guys! Check out a few images from their session…

We had about a week’s window for these blooms, and Michael and Renee were one of the lucky couples to take advantage of the beautiful pink tones!

Another favorite…

Definitely my favorite of the session!

Way back in March (yeah, waaaaay back!), we headed out to the West Side Market to shoot Alison and Patrick’s engagement session on a sunny yet brisk day. Back in November we had the chance to shoot the entire Evans family, so it was cool to work with yet another part of the group this time around! We had a an awesome time with these guys, and we were bummed to find after their session that we were already booked for their big day next year! Thanks again for being awesome clients, we wish you nothing but the best for the remainder of your planning! Your photographer is going to have an easy job with you guys, you work it like pros! : )

We met up with Jason and Sarah in the Willoughby area last December on what turned out to be a pretty nice day for Northeast Ohio. We got rained out on our first attempt, so it was great to see the sun this time! Jason and Sarah are friends with both Molly and Jason, who got married back in June of 2008, and Joe and Jennifer, who are getting married this coming June. It’ll be great to see some familiar faces at all these weddings, and since the guys are all EMS firefighters, we’ll have plenty personnel on scene in case the dance floor catches fire! (OK, I realize that was a pretty lame joke, but work with me here!). Jason and Sarah got married this past January, so stay tuend for their wedding images to posted in the next few weeks!

This was the first time we’d been to Squire’s Castle in quite some time, and afterwords we headed to the beach to wrap up…

It’s pretty crazy to see Mentor Headleads completely quiet and empty, quite different from the craziness of summertime!

One of the best parts of what we do is getting the chance to run into people we haven’t seen since way back (for my age, when I say way back I mean like 5 years). Rachael and I both went to high school together, and even though her and Josiah live way out in the great state of Colorado now, we were psyched to see they found us back here in Ohio to photograph their wedding! Since we have really backed up ourselves here on the blog, we have actually already photographed their fab December wedding, but for now, check out some previews of the engagement session we shot for them back in November. Stay tuned for their wedding images here on the blog in the next week!

Just barely hanging on to a few leaves back in early November, we met up with Nancy and Kevin - a super sweet couple we had met at James and Steph’s wedding back in May.  I remember seeing them together and thinking they were adorable together back then, and now here we are shooting their wedding in April!  They are extremely laid back and nice, and it’s pretty much impossible not to like them.  They also have one of the sweetest proposal stories ever that took place in the most magical place in the world: Disney World.  For that reason, much of their wedding has a Disney or fairytale theme.  We can’t wait to be a part of it!  In the meantime, enjoy some of their engagement images:

Way back in the day, October to be exact, we had the opportunity to head out to Peninsula and spend some time with Adam and Randi, who will be tying the knot this coming May. These guys really had some of the best colors as a backdrop for their session, and we were sure to make the best out of them. Looking back at some of these images really makes me long for some color and sun to return back to Northeast Ohio, we’re tired of all this snow! Adam and Randi are actually our first couple to get married this May, and if their engagement session is any indication, its going to be an awesome day!
